- Brown feels he can have impact on the club’s younger players
Port Vale midfielder Michael Brown is enjoying the coaching responsibilities he has been given since joining the club during the summer.
The 37-year-old scored a last gasp equaliser for the Valiants against Gillingham at the weekend – his second goal in three league games.
During the week the former Tottenham Hotspur and Sheffield United star is involved with the coaching of the club’s youngsters and organises the first team’s warm-up.
Speaking exclusively to Valiant Player this week, Brown discussed his role as well as the influence he has on some of the squad’s younger players.
“I’m enjoying it, I take up the different roles that I’m doing, looking after the reserves as well and taking the warm-ups, passing drills and some sessions as well with the first team,” he said.
“That’s great, I like to do it with the pros, with the senior boys and that’s where I want to be.”
