Achille Campion Aiming For Regular First Team Place

  • Striker happy with form for reserves
  • 24-year-old now wants to push for regular place in Rob Page's match day squad
  • French forward keen to get back to Vale Park this weekend

Port Vale striker Achille Campion is pleased with his goal return for the club’s reserves and is now determined to push for a regular place in the first team over the next few weeks.

The French forward made his debut for the Valiants almost a fortnight ago when he came off the bench in the 2-2 draw against Gillingham.

Having joined Vale at the start of the season on loan, the 24-year-old has been a regular for the club in the Final Third Development League – scoring a hatful of goals already for the second string.

Speaking exclusively to Valiant Player in the lead up to Saturday’s match against Coventry City at Vale Park, Campion said he is now aiming for a regular place in Rob Page’s match day squad for the next few games.

“It’s always nice to score goals, it’s what makes me happy,” he said.

“It’s good training to get some minutes and the rhythm but obviously I would like to push for the first team.”
