An increasing number of league teams have supporters football teams which play games on the Saturday mornings against the league opposition the club faces that afternoon.
September.th September and a home game against Barnsley on 20th August, an away game v Crewe on 13thPortly Vale are now in their second season of playing such matches under the current manager and will be playing their home matches at Halls Road, Biddulph from September (in August they are using a pitch at Trentham HS.) These matches are an opportunity to get together with fans from other teams in a competitive but friendly environment before watching their teams in the afternoon.
