World Cup 5-A-Side in Stoke!

Under 18's invited to take part and raise money for local charities.

THE WORLD CUP is coming to the Potteries as the two region's top clubs Stoke City and Port Vale stage a five-a-side tournament based on this summer's festival of football in Brazil and you can take part!

Thirty-two teams representing all the nations taking part in the real thing in South America will battle it out for the honour of lifting the first Kicks World Cup trophy.

In the process they will raise valuable funds which will be split between Port Vale's two chosen charities Gingerbread, who provide expert advice, practical support and campaign for single parents, and Homestart, who help families with young children deal with whatever life throws at them and the Stoke City Community Trust, which delivers a range of activities and support programmes to raise the hopes and aspiration of people of all ages, abilities and social backgrounds in the city of Stoke and North Staffordshire.

It's not too late to enter, although please note that each team must be under 18 and raise £100 to be donated to the two charities.

Port Vale players will be in attendance when a first team player from both clubs will make the draw for the competition on Tuesday 29th April where each team will be allocated a country to represent.

The group stages will take place at the Powerleague in Stoke, on Saturday 14th June and Goals Soccer Centre on Sunday 15th June, with the final stages to be held on Saturday 28th June at the Northwood Stadium.
