Midfielder looking forward to the test ahead
Billy Knott reckons the style of football that Friday’s visitors MK Dons play will suit his style and he is looking forward to the game.
He is well aware of the treat Karl Robinson’s side pose, however, but feels if Vale play to t heir strengths they can come out with the three points.
He said: “They are renowned for playing their passing game and they are good at it so we will have to do what we do best and try to defend well and work hard off the ball.
“When we get the ball we will have to try and slow the game down and try to get our passing game working and if we can get it into Popey early doors then get in and around him I think we can unsettle them a bit.
“It will be one of the better games for me with them being a passing side, but I have looked forward to every game I have been playing in at the moment.
“I have had a little run in the team now and I am really enjoying it. We had two big wins but then it didn’t go our way on Saturday, and we were disappointed.
“But it has been good and I think all of the lads are enjoying it and there are four massive games to go and at the end of the day we can have a massive say in it.
“We have got Peterborough on the last day of the season and I think for whoever is in and around them it will be a close end to it.
“I want to play in every game because I have got a lot to prove. I haven’t got a contract for next season so I want to play in every game and do the best I can for the team.
“You can only be in the team if you are training well and you give the gaffer no choice but to put you in there. We will see what happens on Friday, but it is a big game for the club.”
