Vale winger looks at Carlisle
Jennison Myrie-Williams spoke to Valiant Player ahead of the trip to Carlisle United on Saturday (3pm). Read on to see what he said:
On playing with one or two wingers in the starting line-up…
Me personally I think I like playing with two wingers, it kind of takes the pressure off me in a sense, maybe the manager thinks a little bit differently but whether it’s two wingers or one winger we’ve got to go out there an try and create things.
On being double-marked in games after impressing last season…
It’s frustrating, but you’ve got to take it as a compliment and try and find different ways and avenues to go down. If there are three players on me then there are a lot of other people spare on my team.
On scoring goals again this season…
It’s always important to get into double figures in assists and goals, we’ve only had a few games really, five or six games we’ve played so far so there’s a long way to go.
On last seasons away record…
Last season we had a good away record and that put us in good shape to get promoted, I am really looking forward to the game.
I’m sure if we go there with the right attitude and confidence from Tuesday I am sure we will be alright.
On Carlisle’s start to the season…
I haven’t looked, I always expect them to be on top of their game because then you don’t take anything for granted and you go out there give your best. I am sure it will be a tough game. I think if we go there with the right attitude I am sure we’ll get the right result.
