Vale will be unseeded for first round
The Football League have revealed the seeding for the 2013-2014 Capital One Cup first round.
The first-round of the competition will be divided into north and south, with the 36 entrants at this stage from the northern section to be divided into 18 seeded teams and 18 unseeded.
Port Vale are unseeded and will be drawn against one of 18 highest-placed teams of 2012/13 from the northern section that enter at this stage, which includes heavyweights in the form of Leeds United, Blackburn Rovers and Wolverhampton Wanderers.
