LAST LEAGUE VISIT THERE:
Who could forget last season’s Johnstone’s Paint Trophy tie which was eventually decided on penalties after it seems the whole world and his dog had tried his luck from the spot, only for debutant ‘keeper Sam Johnson to decide the tie?
Our last visit in the league wasn’t quite such an exciting affair when, back in September 2007 (yes, it’s all of six years ago) neither of the two sides could manage a goal between them and they shares the points after a 0-0 draw.
Traditionally the two clubs have been big rivals and supporters from both sides will be looking forward to this one, and once again Vale will be assured of a huge following.
VALE LINE-UP THAT DAY:
Joe Anyon, Justin Miller (Jason Talbot, 79), George Pilkington, Ashley Westwood, Paul Garsley, Paul Edwards, Danny Whitaker (Robin Hulbert, 74), Craig Rocastle, Shane Tudor (Luke Rodgers, 69), David McGoldrick, Marc Richards. Subs not used: Keith Lowe, Calum Willock
