MATCH PREVIEW - Kidderminster

A look ahead to tonight's game at Aggborough

Vale take on Kidderminster Harriers this evening (kick off 7.30pm) at Aggborough, where they are assured a good game against a side who only just missed out on promotion to the Football League last season.

Micky Adams has said he will start with the players who didn’t start on Tuesday night against Derby County and will include two trialists.

Although he has refused to name the two players until later today, the pair both play in the heart of the defence, a position he has already intimated he wants to strengthen.

Adams Yates, Joe Davis and Liam Chilvers have all picked up slight injuries and won’t play any part in tonight’s game.

There will be a well known face in the Kidderminster side, with former Vale striker Anthony Malbon eager to face his former club.

After coming through the ranks with the Vale, he was released by Micky Adams and he will be keen to prove his former manager wrong.

He was certainly amongst the goals since joining the Harriers, netting an impressive 28 goals in 69 appearances for the Blue Square Premier outfit.

Vale will send a team out to play Harborough Town on Saturday afternoon, but Micky Adams told the press yesterday that he will be tapering the training down in the final two weeks of the season.

After this weekend he will be concentrating on sharpening his players up ready for the opening League One fixture against Brentford.

Admission for tonight’s fixture will be £10 adults, £5 concessions and £2 U16s.
