Port Vale visit the Hospital

First Team turn on Christmas lights.

Yesterday the full Port Vale first team visited Ward 202 at the University of North Staffs Hospital.

The squad walked around the outpatient Oncology and Haematology ward having conversations with all the patients present.

One Staff Nurse commented, “It meant a lot to the patients who are there under not the nicest of circumstances.

“It was nice for them to have the players come in and say hello to the patients.

“It means a lot to the patients that the players are willing to give their time up to come and see them.

“The kids thoroughly enjoyed it”

Mark Grew said, “It was a pleasure to go and turn the lights on the lads all really enjoyed going.

“We will be returning with a handful of lads to hand out a number of presents to the children's ward.

“We look forward to returning in the next week or so!”
