Boss wants a win

Micky going for the three points on Saturday

Vale embark on a fast and furious run of games during the festive season this Saturday when they travel to Stadium MK on Saturday to take on a side just below them in the league.

Despite having admiration for how MK Dons go about their business, Micky Adams sees no reason why the Valiants can’t return with three points in the bag.

“It is a great stadium, they have got a good young team, a decent manager and it looks as though they play football in the right way.

“It is a tough game. Generally in the last few years they have been there or thereabouts in terms of the promotion picture and they have got some real entertainers in their side.

“The boy Bamford and Reeves up front are a real handful and Alan Smith in midfield, if he plays, we all know about the career he has had.

“We go there hopefully with confidence and belief that we can beat them, I don’t see why we can’t, but we have got to turn up again.

“I have talked about it many, many times now, that we have got to turn up, and if we do we are okay.”
