Port Vale’s players are currently considering an offer from the administrators regarding contracts, which has been negotiated with both the PFA and Football League.
The offer relates to Port Vale players who were out of contract last season and agreed new deals, in addition to new players who joined the club in the summer.
Though administrators Begbies-Traynor, the PFA and Football League are in agreement about the terms of the deals, it now down to individual players to agree the contract offers.
Gareth Owen, PFA representative for Port Vale, said:
“We had a meeting with all parties and have agreed the terms of the contracts. This has been an unsettling time for all of the players, as well as everyone connected with Port Vale, and we are hopeful of a swift resolution.”
