Port Vale Football Club are delighted to announce the signings of both Idris Kanu and Theo Vassell ahead of the 2018/19 Sky Bet League Two campaign.
Kanu joins the Valiants on a season-long loan deal from League One Peterborough United, and the 18-year-old striker will provide Neil Aspin with another option in attack.
After progressing through the youth system at West Ham United, Kanu went on to have a trial with Manchester United's under 18s before signing for Aldershot Town in October 2016.
Having become Aldershot's youngest ever player to feature in a league game, he subsequently made over 30 appearances for the Shots before signing for Peterborough last summer.
Meanwhile, Vassell makes the move to Vale Park on a permanent basis as he has agreed a one-year contract with the club, signing from Gateshead.
The 21-year-old defender began his career at Stoke City's academy before signing for Oldham Athletic. He then had spells at Walsall and Chester before featuring 35 times for Gateshead in the National League during the 2017/18 campaign.
Both players will now link up with their teammates as preparations for the new season get under way, and you will be able to watch them in action during Vale's friendly fixtures across July.
