We are delighted to announce the signing of left back, Jaheim Headley, on a permanent transfer from Sky Bet League One side, Huddersfield Town.

Headley, 23, puts pen-to-paper on a deal that will see him remain at Vale Park until at least the summer of 2027.

After starting out within Millwall’s youth system, Headley made the move to Huddersfield Town’s Academy in 2017.

The energetic full back would go on to enjoy loans at Bradford Park Avenue, Hyde United, Welling United, Yeovil Town and Harrogate Town in a bid to gain first team experience before being recalled back to his parent club in January 2023.

Upon his return, he would go on to make 54 appearances for the Terriers with 29 of those coming in the Sky Bet Championship with a number of those appearances under now Port Vale manager, Darren Moore.

Speaking of his newest recruit, Port Vale Manager, Darren Moore, said:

“Having worked with Jaheim throughout my time at Huddersfield Town, I am aware of the qualities that he will immediately bring to our squad; I am delighted to get the deal over the line so early on in the transfer window.

“Jaheim is a solid defender who possesses wonderful energy and quality on the ball and has plenty of experience for his age above League Two level. He is a player who is always looking to play on the front foot to drive the team forward, qualities which I’m sure will be appreciated by our supporters.

“I am really excited to welcome him to Vale Park and we all look forward to working closely with him to hopefully fulfil his obvious potential over the coming seasons.”
