The club would like to give the below update regarding the toilet block in the Railway Paddock.
Following the damage sustained to the toilet block overnight on the 15th September 2023 the club had to make the decision to close the block and restrict ticket sales in the Railway Paddock.
The club are now looking at a range of funding streams that are available for the type of work required from the EFL and other external partners.
At the time our initial thoughts would be that the closure would last no longer than two games whilst remedial work took place. Unfortunately, on further inspection it has now been concluded that the best course of action would be to demolish the block entirely and rebuild it.
With that decision in mind, the restriction to ticketing in the Railway Paddock will remain for the foreseeable future and no extra tickets will be available for any game, season tickets will be unaffected.
There is a number of short-term fixes that can be achieved on a match-by-match basis, should attendances dictate it, but the decision to rebuild the block is one that has been made to make it right for the long-term.
Work on the toilet block is to begin in the new year.
Railway Paddock season ticket holders who purchase ad-hoc tickets to seat family and friends near them can relocate their ticket to another available seat in another stand can by emailing tickets@port-vale.co.uk.
