It ends goalless in London with the Valiants picking up a point on the road
The hosts had not played league football since mid-December but they started the brighter. 13 minutes played and Aaron Drinan came close to giving his side the lead as his curling effort from 20-yards out just went over the bar.
Both sides came into this game on losing runs and looking to change their fortunes. Paul Smyth on 18 minutes also came close but his low shot from inside the area was struck into the side netting.
James Wilson was brought back into the starting line-up after his substitute appearance in midweek. He cut in from the left and had an effort from 20-yards but his shot was claimed by Lawrence Vigouroux on 21 minutes.
In the closing stages of the first half Smyth won a free-kick in a dangerous area which he took himself from around 25-yards but he fired it over Aidan Stone’s bar.
The game remained goalless in the opening 15 minutes of the second half. The only attempt for either side was Brad Walker’s 30-yard shot which skewed wide of the post. On 63 minutes Orient substitute Matt Young intercepted a pass high up the pitch and tried an effort from distance which went way over our bar.
Three minutes later David Amoo found his way past the Orient defence but his shot from the edge of the area went agonisingly across the face of goal.
